About the Conference
The Association of Women Accountants of Kenya (AWAK) is a non-political and non-profit making professional organization that draws its membership from women Accountants. Since its formation in 1994, AWAK has continued to pursue its main objective of member empowerment, while contributing to varying needs in the society.
With its motto “Uplifting our World,” it champions for women empowerment in the community and society, a role it has played with vigor across the continent.
In pursuit of its objective of member empowerment, AWAK has organized its 8th Public Finance Management Conference (PFM) which is an annual event. This event was pioneered as an annual engagement with Accountants and leaders in the public sector space to discuss topical issues as they arise.
The conference will bring together both public and private sector players at all levels and seeks to interrogate the government policies, structures and the necessary actions required to foster sustainable economic growth amid uncertain demographic, social and economic challenges. Anchored on the theme “Delivering Impact by Fostering a Culture of PFM Compliance: Driving Accountability and Service Delivery in Challenging Times,” it will highlight the role of compliance and accountability in strengthening resilience and service delivery. We will share and examine challenges, discuss options for solutions, share best practices and encourage dialogue and partnerships among the participants.
The conference targets over 250 delegates and is open to both male and female delegates. ICPAK members will be awarded CPD points. We humbly request you to sponsor your staff.
